You only need two ingredients!
A baking tray with burnt food or dirt is bad news. Because that means endlessly trying to clean it without success. But there are ways to clean your griddle. And it turns out to be quite simple! All you need are two ingredients and a little elbow grease. Let’s go there!
Supplies
As we promised, you only need two ingredients to get this job done. Clean your baking tray or baking tray with baking soda and white wine vinegar. And chances are you already have these two ingredients at home!
Method
Mix half a cup of baking soda with some warm water and a little white wine vinegar. Next, place your baking sheet in your sink (if it fits) or any other place where you can lay it flat. Put the mixture of water, baking soda and white wine vinegar in and around the baking sheet (make sure there is some kind of plug in the sink so the mixture doesn’t go straight down the drain). Let it sit for an hour and scrub the tray with a steel wool pad or sponge. All burnt-on food residues disappear and your griddle looks like new again!
Rust
Be sure to rinse and dry your cookie sheet or cookie sheet right away. This way rust has no chance to form. And a great bonus is that the baking soda and vinegar mixture also helps clear your sink drain. That’s a win-win situation! Now your baking tray is ready to be used again. And if you want to make sure you don’t have to do so much work in the future, use some parchment paper when baking things.
